Some islanders fish for a living, some islanders fish for fun, some islanders sell fish in their restaurants and some islanders prepare bountiful fish-rich meals for their families. One thing is for sure, the various Hatteras Island fisheries have an impact on those who are blessed to call this place their home and we love sharing them with our friends and neighbors. Inshore boats brought in Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and Speckled Trout. Offshore boats had Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna, a few Mahi Mahi and Wahoo, and a few billfish!

Great day of fishing on Monday! The weather has been beautiful and the fish are biting!

Inshore boats caught Red Drum, Bluefish, and Speckled Trout.

Offshore boats brought in some nice Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, and Wahoo!!

Fishing was a little slower on Saturday but there were still good catches to be had!

Inshore boats had mainly Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish along with a few Speckled Trout. Offshore, the catches varied from Triggerfish and Rose Fish to Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Amberjack, and Wahoo.

Thursday the Speckled Trout were plentiful with one of our boats getting a citation! Also several Puppy Drum, Bluefish, and Spanish Mackerel.

Inshore boats had a good amount of Speckled Trout on Wednesday and also brought in Puppy Drum, Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

Tuesday's inshore catches consisted of Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Puppy Drum, and Cobia.

Offshore, Mahi Mahi were plentiful and boats got several Blackfin Tuna. Yellowfin Tuna activity was slower but there were still a few bites here and there!

Inshore there were some Cobia as well as Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Bluefish and Puppy Drum!
