Summer Fishing Stories on the Stormy Petrel II
Nearshore we’ve been catching mostly Spanish Mackerel, but Bluefish are starting to show up around Hatteras Inlet. Offshore we’ve had good fishing for Triggerfish on the bottom and Mahi on the surface. Some Wahoo are starting to show and there should be more of them in the weeks to come. We still have some open days this month and next. The Stormy Petrel II is the only USCG small inspected passenger vessel in Hatteras licensed for more than six passengers that is dedicated to running private charters. If you have a big family group, it’s no problem for everyone to go fishing on the same boat.
