April 30
Happy May 1st!!! Fishing is great here on the Sandbar and off it as well. Yesterday the bluefish were in force for the surf fishermen as well as the boats. Some of the Spring time Big Choppers made as showing as well. The inshore guys once again got on the Big Drum. Some of the few Cobia's were seen yesterday. The season opens today so I would expect to see one on the dock today, always optimistic! There was a sign of Spanish Mackeral off the beach too yesterday as well as some of the first Pompanos.
Offshore the fishing was Good yesterday and should be improving as we progress into the month. There was a sign of Gaffer Dolphin yesterday with the best yet to come...and some nice Blackfins captured as well. There were a few Blue Marlins seen yesterday that I heard of this morning.
