 This professionally guided tour provides
a unique view of Hatteras - from a kayak. With America's tallest lighthouse
visible in the distance, you'll explore the southern end of the island,
and venture into the pristine marshes of the Pamlico Sound. Glide beneath
skies filled with pelicans and gulls (... and hang gliders!) and over
waters rich in marine life. Learn about the legend of Blackbeard, and
witness history in the making as the tallest lighthouse is moved inland.

 Hatteras Landing and Kitty Hawk
Kites bring you the "Tip of Hatteras," a sport rock climbing wall
which brings the mountains to the beach! This newest addition to Kitty
Hawk Kites' fleet of climbing walls is the tallest on the Outer Banks,
topping off at 32 feet high. A little timid of the peak? Try the West
Face which reaches to 22 feet. Beginner or advanced, you will be challenged
by your choice of 3 routes on each face.View the gorgeous marina or
spectacular ocean vista from the top of the wall as you ring the bell
of victory. The wall is mounted onto the side of the trademark Hatteras
Landing Tower and was designed by veteran climber Tracy Toler of West
Virginia to aesthetically coordinate with the colors and surroundings
of the complex. Kitty Hawk Kites is the exclusive purveyor of climbing
walls on the Outer Banks, this being their 4th wall to date. Come enjoy
